Careers in Psychology

Psychology is one of the most flexible and versatile undergraduate majors. Most employers view psychology majors as individuals who have gained considerable knowledge about people and skills in working with others. Since most jobs require good “people skills,“ students with a B.A. or B.S. in psychology are attractive to a wide variety of employers and find job opportunities in a variety of fields.

Psychology majors develop excellent critical thinking skills from the scientific training they receive. This further enhances their attractiveness to employers.

In addition to numerous opportunities for immediate employment, psychology majors at the University of Indianapolis have one of the highest percentages of students who are accepted into graduate schools in a variety of areas. Psychology is an extremely broad discipline, and students have many possible graduate specialties to choose from.
