  • Insurance Underwriter
    An insurance underwriter evaluates the risk of loss a potential client or business presents and calculates an appropriate premium rate. To prepare for this career an undergraduate degree in psychology should be supplemented with courses in statistics, business administration, finance or accounting. experiencing problems.
  • Computer Programmer
    The critical thinking aspect of psychology is useful in the field of computer programming. A minor in computer science as well as background in programming language will provide the education necessary for a career in computer programming.
  • Budget Analyst
    A budget analyst develops, analyzes and executes budgets to allocate a business' financial resources. A career as a budget analyst is applicable to those skills learned as a psychology major such as communication, qualitative analysis and computer proficiency. Additional courses in business, accounting and statistics are beneficial.
