Concentration
areas and elective courses
During the third year of study, students choose elective and concentration
courses to develop additional depth and advanced clinical expertise in an
area of interest. All students are required to select one of four concentration
areas by the end of their second year of study. Students will additionally select two elective courses from
the remaining concentration areas. Each area is composed
of a sequence of three courses that promotes development of advanced skills
and competencies. The concentration areas are:
- Health Psychology/Behavioral
Medicine,
- Childhood and Adolescent Psychology,
- Adult Development and
Geropsychology, and
- Generalist
